Description
The precious oil of the Moroccan argan tree consists of approximately 80% biologically active unsaturated fatty acids, particularly linoleic and oleic acids, which help maintain normal cholesterol levels in the blood (from 10 g linoleic acid/day, which corresponds to approximately 30 g organic argan oil). With its typical aroma, it is ideal for use in the kitchen, but can also be taken pure (1-3 teaspoons daily). It is well suited for external care of dry and chapped skin.
Virgin argan oil, the liquid gold of Morocco, is extracted from the tasty nuts of a tree native to Morocco by cold pressing. Before this, the nuts are traditionally cracked by hand in a laborious process by Berber women.
The yellowish argan oil is characterized as a dietary supplement by its high content of antioxidant vitamin E and unsaturated fatty acids. It is suitable for both cold and warm dishes.
